Branksome Chine 29/09/2012

We thought we would have a trip out towards Bournemouth and we decided on Branksome as we had not been there for a while, and there are usually some fish there to keep us happy. Starting fishing at 18:30, with high water around 21:30 things were looking OK - the weather was pretty good too... Very light NW and not a cloud in the sky, a change from the week just gone!
Little bites came soon after we started, but they were very hard to connect with, but before long we found out what they where - small Gilthead Bream, first of the year for the other half so she was very happy, so happy she caught 2...
As it got dark, the bream went away and were replaced with small pout, and for me 3 small sole, and I was very glad to see them.. Just a shame their parents were not around for me to catch, would have fancied a sole for tea...
The fish kept coming till high water and then the bites died right off, well that is what we put it down too, but around high is when we went over to fresh rag, we had been using some soggy 3 day old till then...
We gave it till around half midnight before we decided it was time to start the trek home..

Result for the night - the other half, 2 Gilthead, 9 pout, 1 poor cod, 1 weaver (another first for her) and a plaice for 227cm total
Me - 7 Pout, 1 Gilthead, and 3 sole for 190cm total....
Whooped again!!!!!
